What is the KBIT-2?
February 6th, 2012
The world of intelligence tests, for children and adults, is full of long exams, many of which take hours to administer and score. While these tests are invaluable for the insight they give into a person’s intelligence, they can be tiresome. The KBIT-2, otherwise known as the Kaufman Brief Intelligence Test -2, is a wonderful alternative. Designed to be administered and scored in approximately twenty minutes, the KBIT-2 is a quick yet comprehensive exam that provides an accurate picture of the test-taker’s verbal and non-verbal intelligence.
The KBIT-2 is very useful for children, especially when determining special needs. Gifted children, as well as those who may be falling behind, can benefit greatly from taking the KBIT-2. In addition, the Kaufman exam is extremely helpful in institutional settings. From penitentiaries to hospitals, caregivers can provide better care if they have an idea of the intelligence of their charges. The KBIT-2 provides this, in a quick and easy manner.
