Intro. to Roblox Studio (3rd to 8th Grade)

This camp focuses on building a strong foundation in Roblox. Roblox Studio is an educational tool where the opportunities for creativity and imagination are limitless. In Roblox Studio we will create experiences and worlds spanning a variety of genres, from interactive stories, games, and themes, to role-playing adventures. This is an INTRO class for students who have no or limited experience with Roblox Studio or computer programming.

"Is Roblox good for kids? In a word, yes. Because of the huge variety of available games, there are experiences that will appeal to children of all ages and interests. Roblox isn't one game—it's a vast collection of "experiences." I asked the kids at our morning bus stop (kindergarteners, first- and second-graders) what games I should check out for this article, and they gave me a long list. One thing I found striking is that these younger kids tended to prefer role-playing games."

• Explore core concepts of game development in Roblox Studio  
• Manipulate 3D parts
• Present their project during the final session
