What is the CogAT Test?
The Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT test) is a gifted screening test used by many school districts to qualify children for their gifted and talented programs. This is not an achievement or IQ test. The CogAT is given to students from Pre-K up through high school and we have CogAT practice questions for Pre-K, Kindergarten, first grade, second grade, third grade, fourth grade, fifth grade and sixth grade.
What skills are assessed by the CogAT Test?
The CogAT measures ability in the areas of:
- Verbal reasoning
- Quantitative reasoning
- Spatial or non-verbal
(shapes and figures to solve problems)
How should we prepare for the CogAT Test?
