California Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR) Program
The Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR test) Program measures performance on the California Achievement Test. The STAR Test is part of the Public Schools Accountability Act for California. The purpose of this act was to help California schools improve and track the academic achievement of all students by taking the STAR test.
Each spring, California students take a series of tests that comprise the state’s STAR program of standardized testing. Grades 2 through 8 tests cover mathematics and English/language arts (which includes writing in grades 4 and 7).
TestingMom.com provides California Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR) Program practice test questions and STAR test prep ideas you can use with your child.
