How Learn Ahead Math and Science Tutoring Works
Our tutors will work with you to identify the curriculum and/or textbook that your child will be responsible for in the upcoming school year. Tutors will meet 1-on-1 with your child in 30- or 60-minute sessions during the summer and work through the curriculum, highlighting the most important concepts.
You can choose from the following programs:
Full Semester, Major concepts - 40 hours of Math or Science instruction. For parents who don’t want to take chances on their children’s grades in the upcoming semester, in 40 hours, a TestingMom tutor can cover most of the major concepts in an upcoming semester’s program.
Half Semester, Major concepts - 20 hours of Math or Science instruction. Since instruction can move faster in a one-on-one setting, in 20 hours, a TestingMom tutor can cover most of the major concepts in an upcoming half-semester math program.
Most Difficult Topics - 10 hours of Math or Science instruction. Since instruction can move faster in a one-on-one setting, in 20 hours, a TestingMom tutor can cover most of the major concepts in an upcoming half-semester math program.
Jumpstart - 5 hours of Math or Science instruction to get your child ready for the school year ahead and back in the mode of math learning, most likely towards the end of summer.
Custom Program - We can also customize a program for your child’s summer schedule and specific needs.
Our Math and Science Tutors
TestingMom Math and Science tutors have extensive experience working with students from Pre-K through high school. All TestingMom tutors have extensive teaching and tutoring experience. They all have extensive backgrounds working with strong, gifted students and helping children who are struggling.
All of our tutors have a 4-year college degree, extensive teaching and tutoring experience, and most hold advanced degrees in education, including Master’s and PhDs, so they know how to teach effectively to your child’s mind.
