Our 5th Grade Writing Assessment is designed for students completing 5th grade and preparing to enter 6th grade. How the Assessment Works

Step 1: Purchase the Assessment

After purchase, we will email the writing prompt and instructions directly to you.

Step 2: Complete the Assessment

Your child should complete the writing assignment within 36 hours of receiving it.

The assessment typically takes about one hour to complete.

Parents should only assist with reading or explaining the directions if necessary. Please do not help your child develop ideas, revise, edit, or correct their writing. Independent work allows us to accurately assess your child’s current writing skills.

Step 3: Submit Your Child’s Writing

Scan or photograph the completed writing assignment and email it to online.tutoring@testingmom.com.

Step 4: Personalized Results Review

Once we receive your child’s writing sample, we’ll send you a link to schedule a one-on-one consultation with one of our educational advisors.

During the review session, you’ll receive personalized feedback on:
