In this class, students will learn the steps necessary to make their own Pokemon Game using Scratch. The instructor will teach students how to use Scratch to visually program with “blocks” that link together to form “scripts,” or a group of coding instructions. These “scripts” will be used by students to begin coding their own simple video games.
In the process, students will not only have a blast learning, but they will also learn how to think outside the box, reason systematically, and work collaboratively- each an essential skill in today’s society.
This is an Introductory class and requires no previous coding experience in order to excel, so come join us as we explore the exciting world of coding!

Instructor Bio:
Hi, I'm Mr. Cardenas! I have 3 years of teaching experience with Elementary, Middle, and High School Students. I have over 6 years of experience tutoring Elementary to Freshman College Students. All kids have different learning styles and can not be taught the same way. Understanding how one student thinks, how one learns and processes information is key to a successful session. Not only that it will keep them engaged, and interested.
