Python Alien Invaders: Coding Adventures in Outer Space! (4th-10th Grade)

Embark on an epic coding journey to outer space in our Python Alien Invaders class, which will last six thrilling one-hour sessions. We will unleash your child's creativity and programming skills to develop their very own version of the classic arcade game "Alien Invaders." Join us on this thrilling coding adventure through space, where imagination knows no bounds and the possibilities are as vast as the cosmos!

*Please Note: This is an in-depth project, and the class requires that students have Above-Average Computer Literacy, Typing, and knowledge of Python Programming. 

*INSTRUCTOR NOTE: We recommend having two screens, and downloading Python IDE or PyCharm is preferred. Replit would be okay as well. 

Students will learn the following:

• Classes
• Functions
• Library pip installation
• import methods
• multiple file creation
• sprite interaction, collision, and movement
• Sound files for use in movement, collision, and collection detection
