Virginia Gifted and Talented Programs
Virginia has some of the most competitive gifted programs in the nation. The Fairfax County AAP, Loudoun County Public Schools, and Henrico County Public Schools programs are some of the most competitive programs in the state.
School divisions in Virginia are required to identify gifted students in grades K-12 and provide services to meet their needs. The Virginia BOE adopted Regulations Governing Educational Services for Gifted Students in 2012. These regulations lay out general terms for each school district to assess students for admission to their gifted and talented programs.
For your child’s individual district, TestingMom recommends searching on your district’s website. You can also reach out to our Student Success Team at 877-609-6203 or help@testingmom.com and we’ll be happy to help you! With over 40 specific sections for individual tests, chances are TestingMom can help your child gain admission to the gifted program you know they deserve!
TestingMom also offers support for the Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL) tests. These end-of-course tests are administered to all students attending Virginia public schools beginning in the 3rd grade.
