How I Work With Kids

  • I work one-on-one with students, even in small group settings, to ensure that every student is learning for their learning style and strengths. It is my goal to instill the love of learning in every student and help them to blossom.
  • I am an incredibly energetic person and I keep my students engaged by making sure we have fun, and talk and discuss the interests of my students. I sculpt my curriculum around my students' interests to ensure I engage them as much as possible. Of course there are times where if I need to be firm and serious about learning, I have no problem with letting my students know how seriously I take education, everyone's education.

What Parents Say

  • We determined that Karen Pagliro had the on paper skills to teach our son. She quickly became part of our household and part of our family. She used her skills as a teacher and her Masters Degree to create a curriculum for our son and worked diligently with him every day. She challenged his often difficult behaviors and taught him that he could actually be successful in math and reading. She gave him the strength to be his own person and refused to accept behavioral issues that were holding him back. She has taught my husband and I a lot about our child and has pushed us to expect more of him.- M. Bergier
  • I strongly recommend my colleague, Karen Pagliro. I have had the pleasure of working alongside her for 3 years in the high school access department, where she has been entrusted with a great deal of responsibility. She has redefined the organization for both the students and the staff.- J. Collopy
