Bracken™ exam: Uses and Purposes

The Bracken exam is commonly used as an IQ test for kids. It has many uses and purposes. Some of which are as follow:

  • Serves as an avenue for improvement for the child to attain optimal learning in the areas that needs further mastery
  • Helps both parent and teacher better deal and adjust with the child’s needs appropriate to his level of learning
  • Determines a child’s problem areas in relation to his basic skills
  • Easily recognizes a child’s eligibility for admission to programs suited best such as programs for special children
  • Faster diagnosis and intervention is given to those children with underlying impairments in their cognitive and language capabilities
  • Determines a child’s readiness to move forward to more intense challenges in school advancement levels

 

The Bracken exam serves many uses and purposes, but it is of utmost help to the child as it can shape their future of whether or not quality education is given to them at a level most suited to their needs. On the side of the parents and educators, this type of IQ test also can assist them both to cater the needs of their child to achieve maximum results in their educational needs.
