CogAT Test Important Later in Life

While many people put weight on the idea that assessment tests like the CogAT test are important in determining a student’s abilities and performance level while in elementary, high school or college, few believe these tests have long term implications outside the classroom. A study published in 2008 proves otherwise.
That study showed that the skills measured by the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) for academic purposes are the same as those which will serve a person well in the work world. In other words, strong performance on the CogAT test means a lot for students and their academic future, but is also important for those student’s later in life, as well.
