Gifted testing for kids

Gifted testing for kids is necessary which is why many public and private school conduct them to children in kindergarten and elementary. Parents may claim that their child is gifted because he or she is very intelligent but this still needs to be tested and proven using the right IQ tests. The fact is, there are intelligent children out there but they don’t possess the skills and abilities of gifted children.

There are different types of IQ tests today such as the Raven’s Matrices, WISC, WPPSI, and others which are designed to test the general intelligence and abilities of your child. Though many parents let their kids take these tests to determine giftedness, there are those who are not only after the scores but for other reasons as well.

There are prestigious private schools in the country that require every child to take IQ tests as a part of their admission process. If you’re planning to enroll your child in these schools, it’s a must to take IQ tests recommended by the institution itself.

Other parents let their child take IQ tests for the opposite reason. They want to identify if their children have learning disabilities. This is especially true in the case of children who learn at a much slower pace and who encounter a lot of learning difficulties.
