After hearing your kids will be taking the NNAT test, one of the first questions that undoubtedly comes to mind is “how long is the NNAT test?” After all, you’ll want to know how much your children will be expected to do and how long they will be required to focus on the NNAT.
The question “how long is the NNAT test?” actually has several answers depending on how you define length: (1) the number of sections the test contains, (2) the length of time the test takes, or (3) the number of questions that appear on the test. In other words, “how long is the NNAT test?” is a more complex question than you may initially think.
So how long is the NNAT test itself? The exam is designed to be administered in just 30 minutes, though many schools combine the NNAT assessment with other forms of IQ tests, so the total testing time for gifted and talented or school readiness assessment for your child may be longer, dependent upon their school’s testing methods and criteria.
There are a total of 38 questions and seven sections on the NNAT Test. Each section is progressively harder, ensuring a more accurate measure of children’s skills and abilities. The exam is offered in several variations, each of which is designed to be age and grade level appropriate.
