How was the KBIT-2 Developed?

posted by Karen Quinn, The Testing Mom - February 28th, 2012

One of the most trusted and relied-upon intelligence tests in use today, the Kaufman Brief Intelligence Test was developed by Alan S. Kaufman and his wife Nadeen, both renowned psychologists in the field of intelligence. The tests incorporate several trusted and well-known  schools of thought, brought together in one simple, quick and easy to administer examination. The test can be given to any age group, from very young children to adults in their nineties.

Whether you’re thinking of having your child tested independently, have heard that your child’s school offers the KBIT-2, or you have a loved one in an institutional setting which administers the Kaufman exam, rest assured that they will be receiving one of the best tests out there. The levels of  expertise and experience which have gone into developing the Kaufman test truly put it ahead of the game in the world of intelligence testing. Kaufman began his testing research in the 1970’s, and has continued to refine it to this day.
