Fairfax County AAP Best Prep Practice
Beginning in 2025, there will be a single ability test administered to students throughout their careers in the Fairfax County Public School System. While in second grade, students may be referred to complete the NGAT. Given the competitive nature of the gifted and talented program, it is beneficial for students to begin preparation as early as possible. The Central Screening Committee assesses student entry by reviewing test results, teacher input, academic records, and observations of behavior and learning.

The objective is for your child to enter the test as confident and self-assured as possible.
