Find the test your child will take
Head to TestingMom.com and find your child’s test in either our interactive or printable practice questions.
Interactive: pick the test, subject, grade, and session length.
Printable: download question sets for your child’s test. -
Read our test descriptions and tables
Familiarize yourself with the contents of the test your child will take, section by section.
Each test page includes descriptions and tables of exactly what’s on the test. -
Take our pre-assessment, if available for your test
If it is not available for your test, you can assess by giving your child practice questions from each sub-test of the full test. Depending on your child’s age and the time left before the test, spend 15 minutes to 1 hour a day practicing these questions.
-
Mix up the type of practice you give your child
Keep their minds engaged by accessing different activities from the printable questions dashboard.
The dashboard for your child’s test mixes printable questions, interactive practice and games, and lessons for parents. -
Work with questions in different ways
- Ask your child to explain their thinking out loud — it teaches your child to analyze questions.
- Let your child do 5 or 10 at a time and then give them feedback — it mimics test conditions. Give them a reward for getting 10 in a row right.
- Lower your child’s age level and start with easy questions; as they gain confidence, raise the age level and give them harder questions.
- Cover the grade level below, the actual grade level, and the grade level above.
- For a young kid, have them practice pointing to the correct answer.
- For an older kid, have them practice filling out bubble sheets.
Be consistent
Practice every day.
