Description

In this class, students will have an exciting opportunity to celebrate Independence Day by learning how to create their own fireworks show using Scratch programming. Throughout the class, students will learn the basics of Scratch programming, including how to create and customize sprites (characters or objects), use events and loops to control the flow of the program and create animations and sound effects for their fireworks show. They will also explore how to design and program different types of fireworks, such as bursts, sparklers, and colorful patterns, and how to choreograph them to create a dazzling fireworks display.

The class will be hands-on and project-based, with students actively working on creating their own 4th of July fireworks show from scratch. They can unleash their creativity by designing their own custom fireworks and experimenting with different programming techniques to bring their vision to life. They will also learn problem-solving skills as they debug and troubleshoot their code, and they will have the chance to share and showcase their completed fireworks show with their classmates.

By the end of the class, students will have gained basic programming skills using Scratch, as well as a sense of accomplishment and pride in creating their own personalized 4th of July fireworks show. Join us as we create a colorful show without all the dust and smoke!
